Young actress, Nam Ji Hyun (16) expressed her impressions on working with Song Hye Kyo.
Nam Ji Hyun whose movie, “Today” (Director Lee Jung Hyang) premiered at the Busan International Film Festival Gala Presentation, attended the official press conference on October 8th at 6PM.
“Today,” which is Director Lee Jung Hyang’s first movie in nine years, is a story about forgiveness and salvation as the heroine (played by Song Hye Kyo) experiences losing her fiance in a hit and run accident on her birthday.
Then enters Nam Jin Hyun’s character, Ji Min, who helps Da Hye as she produces a documentary. Ji Min is a kid who has suffered extreme violence and abuse from her father in her childhood.
On this day, Nam Ji Hyun expressed her frame of mind during the time of filming. She stated, “Ji Min genuinely hates her father for what happened. It was difficult both mentally and physically, so she feels confused. When I was in agony trying to figure out what she really wanted, I talked a lot with Director [Lee Jung Hyang].”
In addition, she got a lot of energy from her senior, Song Hye Kyo. When she thinks back to having to film a scene over and over, because of her confidence, many people did not see it as damaged, but she repeatedly cringed with embarassment. However, as she said, “Hye Kyo unnie would say, “I will do better and in the future will make up for the wrong parts’ and when I would see her project that positive attitude, I thought to myself that I also needed to fix something.”
